Ekofarmička

Rodová Ekofarmička Irija is a family-run ecological farm and civic association based in the Zlaté Moravce district of Slovakia. Its community works to create a self-sustaining, environmentally responsible farm guided by permaculture and respect for nature. For more than ten years, the farm has operated without chemical sprays, synthetic fertilizers, antibiotics or hormones, using traditional and permaculture practices to encourage biodiversity and the return of native plants and wildlife.

The farm produces organic fruit and vegetables, eggs, honey, meat and other farm products, with animals raised naturally in free-range conditions. Alongside food production, Irija offers environmental education through projects, courses and excursions on topics such as beekeeping and nature. Its activities for children include the “Little Farmer” day camps, while its wider educational work explores farming traditions and sustainable living.

The organization also promotes mindful wellbeing through “A Good Life with Yoga” and supports community connections through initiatives including the Požitavský market. Its ecological approach is reflected in labels such as Happy Bee, Happy Pig and Chemical-Free, Healthy and Tasty.
