E-K Ravinaiset

Etelä-Karjalan Ravinaiset is a Finnish association of women who share an interest in harness racing and horses. Based in South Karelia, the group works to increase awareness of harness racing, particularly among women, and to support local participation in the sport. Its annual highlight is the Veeruska races at Lappee, featuring races for Finnish horses and warmbloods. Members also help run events and activities, including a café at training races, waffle sales at Lappee summer races, and participation in local horse-related gatherings.

The association offers social and recreational activities such as sauna evenings, outdoor shelter meetups, beauty evenings, and trips to horse-themed events. Some trips are open to non-members, while members can attend at a reduced price. Its annual calendar features successful horses from the region and is sold, among other places, at the association’s sales point at Lappee racetrack. With nearly 100 members, Etelä-Karjalan Ravinaiset welcomes new members and encourages people to get involved in its events and volunteer activities.
