About Ekukhanyeni Project
Ekukhanyeni Relief Project (ERP) is a brand that is dedicated to poverty alleviation and sustainable community development. Through their community-based programs, they aim to improve the lives of marginalized and poor communities in urban and informal settlement environments. The organization has been working tirelessly since 2005, using complementary initiatives to build resilience and address social challenges.
Their focus areas include Early Childhood Development (ECD) and Food & Nutrition Security programs. They believe in the importance of local community mobilization and engagement to uplift and empower communities. ERP has a holistic approach to community development, promoting social, economic, environmental, and cultural well-being.
They work with love, service, and compassion, fostering trust, respect, and shared responsibility with their program beneficiaries. Based in the City of Johannesburg, they primarily operate in Region G, with their Food Security initiatives extending further afield. Led by Founder and Executive Director, Liza Rossi, Ekukhanyeni has expanded to 20 established centers in Lawley and has implemented food and nutrition security programs with community food security initiatives and training.
