Eläinlääkäri Silja

Eläinlääkäri Silja is the veterinary practice of Silja Oranen-Ben Fatma, a University of Helsinki graduate whose work focuses on horses and general veterinary care. Drawing on more than 15 years of experience in show jumping, horse training and running a stable business, Silja brings practical equine knowledge to her veterinary work. She aims to assess animals holistically and provide broad support for their health.

The practice currently offers stable visits mainly in the Uusimaa region. Equine services include clinical lameness examinations, oral and dental checks and rasping, vaccinations, blood sampling, and treatment of urgent problems such as colic, wounds, sudden lameness and eye symptoms. During stable visits, Silja can also provide basic small-animal care, including vaccinations, health checks and blood sampling. Her experience includes treating small animals in municipal veterinary work.

Appointments are arranged by agreement, and visits are provided when possible, including during on-call hours. The practice charges a visit fee, mileage and procedure costs, with additional evening and night surcharges.
