"Memory of the People" is a collaboration between the Russian Ministry of Defense and the ELAR Corporation, offering the world's largest internet portal of authentic documents from the Second World War (1939-1945) and the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945). The project aims to commemorate those who protected the Motherland by providing visitors with comprehensive documentary information about the participants of the Great Patriotic War using interactive tools. The information system, established in May 2015, merges previously created databases to create a unified interactive platform for accessing military history documents.

With over 109 million digitized pages of archival documents, encompassing various aspects like military operations, soldier burials, awards, and historical battle maps, "Memory of the People" is a vital resource for exploring Russia's military history from Peter the Great to the present day. The project is managed by the Russian Ministry of Defense's Department for Commemorating Fallen Defenders of the Fatherland, with technical support provided by the ELAR Corporation
