Electric Capital is an investment firm focused on founders building frontier technologies, including artificial intelligence, cryptography, and distributed systems. Since 2018, it has backed technologies designed to reduce reliance on intermediaries, investing across areas such as fintech, healthcare, energy marketplaces, government systems, identity and reputation, and the creator economy. The firm invests from preseed through Series A, with checks of $1 million to $15 million or more, and reports more than $3 billion invested.

Electric Capital works with founders from their earliest product development through company growth, offering support with product design, testing, marketing, and technical implementation. As companies scale, its experts and advisors can assist with product development, team building, metrics, liquidity, governance, and regulatory challenges. The firm presents itself as a deeply technical partner: its investors are engineers who regularly ship code, and its team brings experience starting companies, running large business units, and supporting technology startups. Electric Capital also connects founders and communities to help strengthen the broader technology ecosystem.
