Elemental Fracture is a volunteer-led community project keeping Spellbreak playable after the game’s original servers shut down in 2023. Its team rebuilt the online services, restoring accounts, matchmaking, parties, and community-hosted servers so players can return to the Hollow Lands. The project provides a free account and launcher, which downloads the game, installs community patches, and keeps the client updated. Downloads are available for Windows and Linux, including a native AppImage.

Spellbreak is a free-to-play fantasy battle royale built around elemental magic rather than guns. Players equip two gauntlets and combine six elements—fire, frost, lightning, air, earth, and toxic gas—to create tactical effects. Runes enable flight, dashes, blinks, and other movement abilities, adding verticality to combat. Players can join solo, duo, or squad battles, as well as Dominion, arena playlists, and custom lobbies. Elemental Fracture also develops balance and quality-of-life updates, while Discord supports matchmaking, events, patch information, and player assistance. Donations help cover server, patch-delivery, and website costs; the project says nobody involved is paid.
