Elegant Carriages is a horse-drawn carriage hire company based in Chorley, serving families and event customers across Lancashire, Cheshire and Merseyside, with travel farther afield available on request. Established in 1980, the company provides carriage services for weddings, funerals, proms, birthdays, anniversaries and other occasions, bringing a traditional, distinctive touch to important events.
The business offers a large selection of carriages in black, white, silver and rainbow, drawn by its team of horses and operated by fully qualified coachmen. Its funeral services are developed in collaboration with local funeral directors and are intended to help families arrange a personal and dignified farewell. Elegant Carriages also presents its Rainbow Hearse, described as the world’s only horse-drawn hearse of its kind. This brightly coloured option can be paired with matching rainbow drapes and plumes to create a distinctive tribute. Customers can explore funeral and carriage galleries or contact the company for information about its services and availability.
