Elena Borboni is a Brescia-based artist whose work explores the beauty, mystery and renewing force of life. Born in Ome, in the Franciacorta hills, she studied at an art school and developed her practice from painting on porcelain to working in oil on canvas. Her art combines abstract forms with symbolic, allegorical imagery, drawing inspiration from themes such as birth, nature, love and transformation. Roses, dandelions, trees, spirals and fossils recur as emblems of life and renewal.

Borboni creates richly textured works using materials including glass, sand and stucco, alongside layered, luminous colours. Through these techniques, she seeks to balance poetry, light and beauty with material presence. Her website presents works for viewing and purchase, and shares information about exhibitions, reviews, events, publications and competitions. Her paintings have been shown in solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including London, Stockholm and Munich, and have received awards. Borboni has also taught art through her own painting workshop, sharing her techniques and enthusiasm with others.
