About ELICO Foundation
ELICO Foundation is a leading renewable energy hub focused on innovation, research, development, incubation, and demonstration of appropriate technologies in Africa. Our main objective is to increase access to clean energy services for socio-economic development in energy-deprived communities. Through our people-centered approach, we establish decentralized renewable energy systems and services that empower livelihoods and improve quality of life.
Working closely with pioneers in the energy sector, we create sustainable, affordable, and resilient energy solutions. As a non-profit organization, our commitment is to accelerate access to modern energy solutions in rural Africa. Our impact is evident in the 19,925 people in Tanzania who now have energy access and well-being.
We have raised over $1. 5M for socio-economic development in energy-vulnerable communities and provided solar power to rural health facilities, benefiting over 18,144 patients. By equipping and training farmers and entrepreneurs, we have improved the lives of over 1,240 individuals and created more than 288 new jobs.
