Elizabeth Weinberg is a Portland, Oregon–based writer, science communicator, storyteller, and community builder whose work explores science, nature, climate change, queer community, and urban wildlife. Through her writing and collaborations, she aims to make science communication more effective and inclusive. Elizabeth is the author of Unsettling: Surviving Extinction Together, a book that reimagines environmentalism as queer, anti-racist, feminist, and integrated into everyday life.
Her essays and other writing have appeared in publications including High Country News, The Rumpus, PANK Magazine, The Toast, and Scuba Diver Life. Elizabeth also offers opportunities to collaborate on science communication, storytelling, and related projects, and shares writing and updates about events. She is the Assistant Director of the Portland Urban Coyote Project and a geography graduate student at Portland State University, where she studies human-coyote coexistence and conflict.
