Elk Funeral & Cremation Service

Elk Funeral & Cremation Service is a family-owned and operated funeral provider serving Charleston, West Virginia, and the surrounding area. In business since 1937, the company offers full funeral and cremation services, with support shaped around each family’s needs and wishes. Its options include traditional services, cremation, open-casket viewing, graveside services, personalization, and services for veterans. Families facing an immediate loss can contact the team for guidance, while those planning ahead can use preplanning forms and checklists to record their wishes and help ease decisions for loved ones.

The service also provides practical resources, including obituary listings and notifications, flower ordering, payment options, and information about what to expect when a death occurs. Its grief support materials address the grieving process, children and grief, funeral etiquette, and related topics. Families can also sign up for a year of weekly grief support messages. With a focus on respect, honor, and remembrance, Elk Funeral & Cremation Service aims to lend a hand through planning, loss, and the days that follow.
