Elmtree Preschool is a registered not-for-profit preschool in Bristol, welcoming children aged two to five in a supportive, nurturing setting. Its child-centred, free-flow environment is designed to feel like home, helping children build confidence, play, explore and grow. To maintain a close-knit community and provide individual attention, sessions are limited to 18 children.

Operating during term time, in line with Bristol’s academic calendar, Elmtree offers morning sessions, packed-lunch club and full-day care from Monday to Thursday. Eligible families can use 15 or 30 funded childcare hours across sessions, and the preschool charges a small consumables fee that includes snacks. Children bring their own packed lunch.

The team’s qualifications and training span early years education, playwork, first aid, safeguarding, special educational needs and Forest School. Staff plan enjoyable activities around children’s individual interests and work to support their learning and wellbeing. Elmtree reports that Ofsted rated it Good in all areas. As a charity, it directs its funds back into the preschool, with children’s benefit guiding its budget.
