The Eloquence Club is Nigeria’s indigenous public speaking support and learning club, founded in 2017 by Ubong Essien, CSP, after School of Eloquence alumni sought continued opportunities to develop. It brings together learners and professionals from diverse fields in a welcoming community focused on communication, continuity and shared growth. Members meet on the second Saturday of each month for interactive speaking sessions, with themes including storytelling, persuasive speaking and negotiation.
The club also offers advanced workshops and masterclasses, quarterly mentorship cycles, speaking competitions, leadership roles and networking opportunities. Members can access a digital learning platform featuring recorded webinars, e-learning modules and resources, as well as the ELOQUENCE magazine and other specialist materials. Its programs draw on the School of Eloquence’s “Speak With Power” principles and aim to build confidence, communication abilities and leadership skills.
Membership is open to School of Eloquence alumni and other individuals who complete the required course within 30 days of joining. The club also describes partnerships with public speaking organizations, corporate sponsors and educational institutions
