Desert Blooms El Paso is a gardening and landscape information resource focused on water-efficient landscapes suited to El Paso and the Chihuahuan Desert. Its website helps residents find ideas and practical guidance for planning and caring for local gardens, with an emphasis on informed plant selection and responsible watering. Visitors can explore a Home Garden Gallery, join public garden tours, and browse plant lists or search by common or botanical name. A “My List” feature lets users save favorite plants and gardens for later reference.

The site also provides tools for building a landscape, including plant resources and information about free community workshops. For people planning a do-it-yourself project, it points to guidance from EPA WaterSense on water-smart landscape design and watering, as well as Earth-Kind landscaping resources from Texas AgriLife. Those seeking professional help can use its Better Business Bureau directory to find landscape professionals or locate a Texas-licensed irrigator. Together, these resources support homeowners in creating and maintaining landscapes suited to the region’s dry climate.
