About Elphogene
Elphogene is a biotechnology company that offers a cutting-edge diagnostic tool called oncoMonitor™. Developed in the Czech Republic after ten years of research and collaboration with leading oncology centers, oncoMonitor™ is a revolutionary liquid biopsy technology. This tool screens ctDNA, or circulating tumor DNA, in the peripheral blood of patients in advanced stages of cancer.
The main objective of the oncoMonitor™ test is to detect newly arising metastatic lesions in patients with advanced cancer. The technology has shown a remarkable capability of capturing ctDNA in up to 88% of patients with advanced colorectal cancer and liver metastases. Traditionally, cancer monitoring relies heavily on imaging techniques such as ultrasonography and CT scans.
However, these approaches have limitations due to potential health risks and high costs. To complement these methods, oncoMonitor™ offers regular examination of ctDNA in the patient's blood, allowing for early detection of cancer relapse or metastases. This early detection is crucial for effective treatment.
