As a women-owned business operated by the owner and dedicated community members, El Pretexto is not just a lodge, but our beautiful home that we share with our guests.

With four private villas, including a 30-year-old wood house and a renewed concrete home, El Pretexto combines agroecological farming areas, an agro-forest, and free-range organic chicken and duck coops to provide an immersive farm-to-table experience. Immerse yourself in nature as you enjoy the breathtaking views from the mountains to the south coast of Puerto Rico.

To ensure a great experience, we only receive visitors with a reservation and have an adult-only policy. Smoking is not allowed on the premises to protect our lungs and farming.
