La Alteña Distillery is the proud home of El Tesoro™ Tequila, where tradition meets passion. Founded by Don Felipe Camarena over 80 years ago, our distillery is nestled in the mineral-rich highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. We uphold the legacy of our founder by handcrafting each bottle of El Tesoro, encompassing the essence of our "place" and the artisanal expertise of our family. Carlos Camarena, our Master Distiller and grandson of Don Felipe, leads our community of artisans in preserving the traditional techniques that make El Tesoro truly special.
Jenny Camarena, the granddaughter of Don Felipe, brings her architectural background and family heritage to her role as Master of Operations, infusing El Tesoro with her passion for quality tequila. At La Alteña, we blend the rich soil and high altitude of Jalisco to create a tequila that embodies the spirit of Mexico. Join us in savoring the art of tequila responsibly with El Tesoro De Don Felipe.
