Eltham Childcare Cooperative is a community-based, parent-run, non-profit early childhood education and care centre in Melbourne’s north-east. It provides care and learning programs for children from six weeks to six years in an inclusive, supportive and nurturing environment. Its long day care and kindergarten programs align with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and the Australian Early Years Learning Framework, supporting children’s development through enriching early learning experiences.

The cooperative reports recognition from the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority for the quality of its care. In April 2023, it was awarded Exceeding National Quality Standard status, having exceeded all seven standards. Families can learn about the centre’s philosophy, educators, program, facilities, child safety, nutrition, fees and cooperative duties through its website. The centre operates Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, excluding public holidays and its Christmas closure period. Eltham Childcare Cooperative welcomes enquiries about its three- and four-year-old kindergarten programs and provides information about waiting lists and enrolment.
