About Ukrainian Interbank Payment Systems Member Association "EMA"
EMA Association is dedicated to promoting the development of convenient and secure non-cash payment instruments and services in Ukraine. Established in 1999, EMA initially united Ukrainian banks that were members of the Europay international payment system, later expanding to include members of Visa and Mastercard. With over 20 years of experience, EMA works to make non-cash payments and technologies an integral part of financial culture in Ukraine, akin to G-7 and EU countries.
Collaborating with regulators, EMA shapes legislative framework, national payment programs, and infrastructure for issuing and servicing payment instruments to enhance business profitability and consumer comfort. EMA also partners with law enforcement to combat financial crimes, providing expertise and information on payment technologies. The association's goals include aligning Ukraine's payment landscape with European standards and minimizing financial losses from fraud, engaging consumers and media in utilizing secure payment services effectively
