EMA - European Media Art Festival is internationally recognized as one of the most influential forums for contemporary media art. Each year, the festival offers its visitors a comprehensive overview of current artistic productions through film programs, exhibitions, performances, and hybrid formats. The festival's central focus is on the annual theme, which is explored through exhibitions, curated film programs, and talks by theorists from different disciplines, shedding light on the intersections of artistic practice, technological development, and societal reality.

In addition to the main festival, EMAF also provides a platform for selected German and European art schools in its Campus section.
