About Emerge Australia
Emerge Australia is a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing information, support, and advocacy for individuals with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). This complex and disabling disease affects various parts of the body, including the brain, muscles, immune system, and more. They offer a range of services and resources to help those living with ME/CFS, including patient support and information services, a telehealth nurse service, and an online community.
Emerge Australia is also actively involved in research and has established the ME/CFS Registry & Biobank to facilitate studies. They work to increase awareness and understanding of ME/CFS through campaigns, advocacy efforts, and educational programs for health professionals. With 1 in 100 Australians estimated to have ME/CFS and 25% of individuals being housebound/bedbound, Emerge Australia strives to make this condition a national health priority.
