The EMERGE project focuses on fostering sustainable energy development in Africa by equipping stakeholders with essential tools and insights for clean energy production and responsible resource management. With a mission to bridge cultural and socioeconomic divides, EMERGE employs innovative scenario simulation and collaborative design to create a versatile Toolbox tailored to optimize existing resources.

The project spans nine countries, including regions like North Western Africa (Morocco), the Niger River area (Mali/Nigeria), and East Africa (Mozambique), facilitating impactful collaborations aimed at accelerating sustainable development. EMERGE’s efforts are further supported by a robust Knowledge Base designed to unite African communities in their pursuit of a greener future.

Backed by the European Union’s HORIZON programme, EMERGE not only focuses on enhancing clean energy production but also engages with policymakers, academics, and citizens to ensure comprehensive and inclusive approaches toward energy challenges.
