Emma Saxon

Emma Saxon Fine Art is the portfolio of artist Emma Saxon, whose oil paintings explore people, emotion and the qualities that make each subject distinctive. Her work focuses primarily on the face, sometimes cropping or isolating particular features to draw attention to an expression and the feeling it conveys. Rather than aiming to create conventional likenesses, Saxon seeks to look beyond appearance and suggest something of a person’s inner life.

The artist describes painting as a meditative process through which she works through her own emotions. Her subjects and ideas may challenge her, and the resulting work can touch on joy, pain or despair while seeking beauty in each. The portfolio includes work presented in categories such as portraits, pet portraits, refugees and emotions, reflecting a range of human experiences and subjects. Emma Saxon Fine Art offers visitors an opportunity to explore this expressive body of work and learn more about the artist through the site’s About and Contact sections.
