Emma und Lukas is a Berlin-based childcare provider operating several kindergartens for children aged one to six. Its centres offer care from nursery through kindergarten, combining a warm, family-oriented atmosphere with contemporary early childhood education. Guided by the Berlin Education Programme, the Situational Approach and ideas from Jesper Juul, the team supports each child’s personality, interests and development at an individual pace.

A key feature is bilingual German and English care, with native speakers helping children encounter English naturally in everyday activities. The centres also focus on nurturing children’s abilities and talents, alongside creative projects, movement, nature experiences and learning through play. Small groups and a relationship-centred approach are intended to foster trust and provide personal attention to children and families. The provider also offers a participatory settling-in process to help children adjust to care.

Emma und Lukas operates locations across Berlin, including Mahlsdorf, Hellersdorf, Oberschöneweide, Steglitz, Neukölln and Charlottenburg. Families can enquire about available places, arrange an introductory visit and submit an enrolment request online.
