About Emmaüs Maisoncelle
Ferme Emmaüs Maisoncelle is an agroecological farm and transitional space for individuals seeking to rebuild their lives after incarceration. Managed by the association La Ferme de L'Air Libre and a member of the Emmaüs Movement, this lively farm offers a supportive environment for residents to prepare for their return to freedom and reintegrate into society. Located in the Vienne region of France, the farm spans 4 hectares and includes multiple houses, barns, and a dedicated area for market gardening.
Residents benefit from accommodation, a vibrant and structured community life, meaningful work, and enhanced support. The farm operates on a 6 to 18-month program, offering between 6 to 12 residents the opportunity for personal growth and the chance to contribute to the collective well-being. With a focus on agroecology, Ferme Emmaüs Maisoncelle cultivates organic produce on its cultivated lands.
