Elektrik Mühendisleri Odası

The Chamber of Electrical Engineers (EMO) is a professional organization operating within the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (TMMOB). It represents and supports engineers working in electrical, electronics, electrical-electronics, biomedical, and related fields. EMO contributes to professional standards through regulations, technical guidance, service-fee schedules, reports, and oversight resources for engineering practice. It also provides continuing professional education and organizes congresses, symposiums, workshops, forums, and academic camps.

The organization publishes books, scientific and professional journals, newsletters, and public-interest research. Its committees address areas such as energy, automation, biomedical engineering, artificial intelligence, occupational safety, and women engineers. EMO also shares technical assessments and public statements on issues including power generation, energy systems, workplace conditions, and consumer concerns. For example, it has prepared sample appeal petitions for people challenging electricity penalties related to generator connections. Through its publications, events, professional resources, and advocacy, EMO serves its members while informing the wider public about engineering and energy matters.
