Empathy Foundation

"Empathy" is a philanthropic foundation dedicated to supporting socially significant projects in education, culture, science, and enlightenment. Founded in 2020 by entrepreneur and patron Mikhail Shelkov, who is also the majority shareholder of VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, the foundation embodies a philosophy of deep empathy—understanding and sharing the feelings of others.

The foundation’s mission acknowledges the vital role teachers play in society, emphasizing the development and support of educators as a cornerstone for nurturing the next generation. Empathy provides financial assistance to over 550 teachers in Sverdlovsk region and initiatives like scholarships for talented youth and training programs for both students and educators.

Beyond education, Empathy extends its efforts to help orphanages, correctional schools, and families impacted by disasters. By fostering a culture of philanthropy and actively working to implement the best practices in education, the Empathy Foundation is committed to facilitating social change and creating new opportunities for teachers and students across Russia.
