Empower Occupational Therapy, PLLC, also known as Empower Kids OT, provides neurodiversity-affirming pediatric occupational therapy for children ages 2–17 and their families in Central New York. Led by Dr. Megan Matthews, a pediatric occupational therapist and Certified Autism Specialist, the practice offers in-home services in Syracuse and nearby Onondaga County communities, as well as telehealth across New York State.
Therapy is tailored to each child and family, with support grounded in everyday routines at home. Services include a free 15-minute consultation, occupational therapy evaluations, and individualized treatment. Sessions may focus on building skills for daily activities such as dressing, mealtimes, emotional regulation, play, and family routines. Caregivers are actively involved through real-time coaching, education, and practical strategies they can use between visits, helping families support progress beyond therapy sessions.
In-home visits are available within approximately 10 miles of Syracuse, with some farther locations considered for an additional travel fee. Virtual consultations and parent-coaching sessions are also available regardless of location.
