Empowermama

Empowermama provides pregnancy, birth and post-partum support for mums in Canberra, helping them feel informed and confident about their options. Founded by local mum and doula Fleur Cantlon, the service is grounded in her experience of feeling overwhelmed during early motherhood and her desire to help others make decisions that reflect their own needs and values. Empowermama offers pregnancy education, planning and preparation for expectant parents and their birth partners, so they can better understand what to expect and consider their choices.

Fleur also provides labour and birth attendance, sharing tools and techniques and helping clients communicate their needs with medical professionals. After birth, post-natal visits support rest, recovery and the transition to parenthood. Her approach is non-judgemental and practical: clients are encouraged to understand their options, whether or not they choose interventions such as an epidural, and to shape their own birth experience.
