Empower Next Project

Empower Next Project is a nonprofit organization focused on recovery, mental health, and healthier futures. Its mission is to empower individuals, inform communities, and provide practical support for people rebuilding their lives after treatment. The organization helps people access safe, supportive sober-living housing through scholarships and rent assistance, addressing a financial and housing gap that can make early recovery especially difficult. Its programs also connect people with substance-use and mental-health support, including free one-on-one Zoom therapy with a licensed clinician for California residents, aftercare resources, and peer connection.

Empower Next Project offers free Naloxone (Narcan) training and overdose-prevention education for individuals and communities. Its Sober Living Companion app supports residents with sobriety tracking, GPS-verified meeting check-ins, rent payments, and an SOS feature; it is free for residents and available on iPhone and Android. The organization welcomes people of every background and also funds partner recovery organizations.
