EmpowerU is a dynamic education platform operated by The University of Hong Kong, committed to providing online and offline training to migrant domestic workers and ethnic minority students in Hong Kong. By combining technology, community, and renowned educators, EmpowerU has developed an impactful program that nurtures marginalized youth and migrant workers, cultivating a generation of leaders.

Their values include empowerment, cross-cultural understanding, community-based learning, hope, love for lifelong learning, engagement, respect, and trust. Founded in 2018, EmpowerU originated from the Domestic Workers Empowerment Project (DWEP) initiated by Dr. Mike Manio.
