EmpreintesDuWeb is a French general-purpose web directory designed to help websites improve their search visibility and online presence. The service allows website owners to submit their sites for inclusion in a manually reviewed directory, with the aim of maintaining listing quality. Approved submissions receive a detailed, search-engine-optimized profile and a permanent link, which the directory presents as potential support for better positioning and credibility.

Website owners can create an account, manage submissions, and consult the directory’s registration conditions and privacy information. Visitors can search for sites by keyword, explore recently added listings, browse popular or featured sites, and view rankings and referral information. The directory covers a wide range of topics, including business, news, agriculture, arts, education, finance, technology, health, home and garden, transport, and travel.

EmpreintesDuWeb also provides contact and support information and highlights partner websites. Its central offering is a categorized discovery platform for French websites, alongside listing services intended to help participating sites gain exposure
