EMY AfterDark

EMY is an independent lighting design practice that treats light as an integral part of architecture, shaping atmosphere, emotion, and how people experience a space. Based in New York and Miami, the studio works across the United States and internationally, serving hospitality, luxury retail, high-end residential, and institutional projects. With more than 15 years of experience, EMY collaborates closely with architects, interior designers, contractors, and other project partners from early design through final installation.

Its services include architectural, daylighting, and electric lighting design; decorative design and FF&E; façade, landscape, site, park, and streetscape lighting; daylighting analysis; nighttime renderings; 3D computer modeling; and LEED and energy-code analysis and documentation. EMY also develops bespoke lighting solutions and custom lighting objects tailored to each space. For clients seeking end-to-end support, the practice provides fixture selection, procurement, logistics, and on-site coordination, supported by warehouses in New York and Miami.
