Enabling Activities is a Stafford-based provider of person-centred activity support for young adults with learning and physical disabilities. Established in April 2016 by Phil and Cathy Peplow, the organisation grew from their experience seeking suitable support for their daughter Kelly. Its approach combines practical development, social inclusion and enjoyable activities, with experienced staff adapting sessions to each person’s needs and pace.
Support includes everyday life skills such as cooking, shopping, travel training and personal routines, helping participants build confidence and independence at home and in the community. The programme also offers inclusive indoor and outdoor activities, including supported cycling on specialist trikes, climbing, walking, swimming, skiing and trampolining. Social opportunities, community outings and fundraising challenges help participants develop friendships, teamwork and a sense of achievement.
Enabling Activities aims to create a safe, flexible environment where young people can take part, stay active and grow at their own pace. The team welcomes enquiries about individual support needs and offers visits by appointment at St Peter’s Scout Hall in Stafford, informal conversations and free taster days.
