About ENCePP
The European Network of Centres for Pharmacoepidemiology and Pharmacovigilance (ENCePP®) is a collaborative initiative coordinated by the European Medicines Agency (EMA). This network encompasses both public institutions and private entities, including contract research organizations (CROs), dedicated to advancing research in pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacovigilance. ENCePP focuses on critical research areas such as disease epidemiology, drug utilization, and the assessment of medicinal products' effectiveness and safety.
The primary objective of ENCePP is to enhance the monitoring of benefit-risk balance for medicines in Europe through collaborative efforts and high-quality, multi-centre non-interventional studies (NIS). It provides essential tools like the ENCePP Code of Conduct and Methodological Guide to uphold research standards and governance. Regular outputs from ENCePP include databases and methodological resources that aid research transparency and independence. By bridging expertise across Europe, ENCePP supports public health initiatives, helping to address urgent health challenges while contributing to regulatory guidance and scientific literature.
