Coastal Dragons Rugby, also known as the Encinitas Dragons, is a nonprofit youth rugby club based in Encinitas, north of San Diego, California. Founded in 2009, the club serves boys and girls ages 5 to 18 from North County and surrounding communities. It has grown to include hundreds of current players and alumni, with former players going on to compete at the collegiate level. The Dragons also help connect young athletes with local high school rugby programs, including San Dieguito Academy, La Costa Canyon, San Marcos, and Torrey Pines.

The club’s mission is to build character by teaching young people to love rugby. Its program emphasizes values such as respect and sportsmanship, offers coaching from certified coaches, and welcomes participants regardless of race, religion, gender, or socioeconomic status. Families can register players, find information for coaches, learn about rugby, and order uniforms through the club’s website. Coastal Dragons also provides information about scholarships, its team, and club activities, while inviting community members to support the organization through sponsorship and other involvement.
