Encounter Ministry is a Christian nonprofit serving Northern Nevada churches and communities from Reno. Its mission is to help people reconnect with the joy, hope, and purpose it believes God intends, offering opportunities for healing, spiritual growth, and meaningful relationships. The ministry welcomes people from diverse backgrounds, including those exploring faith and Christians across denominations, and encourages a deeper commitment to Christ and his teachings.
Its programs include Men’s Encounters, Women’s Encounters, and Marriage Encounters, along with events, mentorship, groups, daily prayer, and community service. Encounter Ministry also provides biblical counseling and care, supporting individuals and couples as they seek renewal and guidance. In 2026, it plans to launch a School of Biblical Counseling and Discipleship, approved and supported by the Association of Biblical Counselors, to expand access to biblically based counseling education and support. Through its events, counseling, discipleship, and welcoming community, the ministry aims to strengthen people and local churches and inspire participants to serve others.
