Endulen

Endulen e.V. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting sustainable improvements in healthcare in rural Tanzania. Its work centers on the Endulen Hospital in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where it backs small-scale projects designed to address practical needs and strengthen local health services. The organization supports medical equipment, health education, infrastructure, and the training of medical personnel.

Examples of its projects include providing an ultrasound machine, installing a solar energy system for Endulen, supporting study toward a bachelor’s degree in anaesthesia, and distributing menstrual kits. Endulen e.V. also runs a scholarship program, with information about its selection and support process, and invites donations to help fund its activities.

Alongside its project work, the organization shares Madaraja – Stories, an English-language magazine created by Elisa Schneider. Through interviews, photographs, and personal stories, it presents perspectives on life, society, and the environment in Tanzania, aiming to encourage understanding and solidarity. Endulen e.V. communicates its work through its website and social media, and provides information about its board, governance, projects, and ways to contribute.
