Energy-io

Energy-io is a renewable energy engineering and construction company focused on delivering grid-scale projects for a sustainable, net-zero future. Founded and led by practicing electrical engineers, the company brings electrical design, grid compliance and construction leadership together as one integrated service. Its work spans battery energy storage systems, large-scale onshore wind projects and transmission substations.

For battery storage, Energy-io designs and delivers electrical balance-of-plant solutions, covering the grid interface, high-voltage construction and commissioning. For onshore wind, it coordinates design and construction activities across complex project interfaces. Its transmission expertise supports connected infrastructure from 33kV to 400kV, including substations, protection systems and medium-voltage networks.

The company embeds Grid Code and distribution and transmission operator requirements into project planning, aiming to manage interface risk, support reliable commissioning and maintain programme certainty. Energy-io also emphasizes close client partnership, clear technical decision-making and consolidated electrical responsibility throughout the project lifecycle. Its integrated approach is designed to help renewable energy assets reach grid readiness through coordinated, engineering-led delivery.
