The Energy Transitions Commission (ETC) is a global coalition of leaders from across the energy landscape working to accelerate the transition to a zero-emissions future and achieve net-zero emissions by mid-century. It brings together corporate leaders, experts and practitioners to develop transition roadmaps and practical tools grounded in robust analysis and collaboration. Its work spans the energy sector and major energy-consuming areas, including industry, transport and buildings, with a focus on defining pathways to net zero and building the foundations for zero-emissions value chains.
The ETC also works with partners such as industry associations and non-governmental organisations. For harder-to-abate industries, its work is carried out under the Mission Possible Platform, established by the ETC and the World Economic Forum. The commission shares its analysis through reports, papers, news, events and webinars covering topics such as clean electricity, electrification, nuclear power, geothermal energy, energy security and industrial decarbonisation.
Its publications and activities are intended to inform decision-makers and support coordinated action across sectors and regions
