Energy Efficiency Day is a collaborative effort of numerous energy efficiency advocacy groups in the United States, including the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy, Advanced Energy United, Alliance to Save Energy, Natural Resources Defense Council, and many others. Held annually on the first Wednesday in October, Energy Efficiency Day aims to promote the message of “Save Money. Cut Pollution. Create Jobs.” Since its inception in 2016, the event has garnered support from a wide range of organizations, companies, and government agencies.
The goal of Energy Efficiency Day is to raise awareness about the multitude of benefits of energy efficiency, from lower costs to healthier homes, while emphasizing its role in meeting energy needs, reducing consumer bills, and supporting millions of jobs in various industries. On October 4, 2023, advocates, companies, and government agencies will come together to showcase the benefits of energy efficiency during the 7th annual nationwide Energy Efficiency Day.
