ENGAGEMENT ARTS NL is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to addressing gender-based violence, sexism, discrimination, and abuse of power in the Dutch arts and design field. Our vision is to foster a healthy and inclusive art sector where every artist, regardless of gender identification, sexual orientation, race, religion, or (dis)ability, has equal opportunities and is treated with respect. We take action by lobbying, raising awareness, and providing tools and services to drive change.

Our goal is to shift from a culture of rape to one of consent, community accountability, and transformative justice. As a peer-to-peer initiative, we also offer a safe space for individuals and communities facing discriminatory behavior or unfair practices in the arts. Additionally, we support professional training for confidential advisors and collaborate with various stakeholders to create safer and more inclusive working environments.
