About English River Outfitters
English River Outfitters is a non-profit organization founded in 2008 by military veterans Chuck Geertz and Cyle, along with Gold Star wife Karen Fisher. The organization aims to provide a peaceful recreational space for veterans and their families, with a focus on disabled veterans and Blue Star, Silver Star, and Gold Star families. Since its founding, English River Outfitters has grown significantly, with the completion of the HERO lodge in 2022, offering accommodation for up to 16 people surrounded by picturesque timber and hiking trails.
The facility is also available for rent through VRBO, with proceeds supporting veteran activities. With over 1,200 veterans served, English River Outfitters is dedicated to offering hunting and fishing excursions, community events, and a tranquil escape for those who have served
