ENIL, the European Network on Independent Living, is a user-led network of disabled people with members all across Europe. It serves as a forum for disabled individuals, Independent Living organizations, and their non-disabled allies to address the challenges related to Independent Living. ENIL is committed to promoting human rights, social inclusion, and solidarity through principles such as peer support, deinstitutionalization, self-representation, and self-determination.

Their vision is to create an inclusive Europe where disabled individuals have equal control over their lives, enjoy their human rights as outlined in the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), and are valued members of society. To achieve this, ENIL advocates for a barrier-free environment, personal assistance support, and access to necessary technical aids. They engage with European, national, and local administrations, politicians, media, and society to raise awareness and bring about positive change.

Through resources and training, ENIL empowers disabled people and enhances the European disability sector. As a pan disability organization, ENIL works with both disabled and non-disabled individuals and organizations to promote Independent Living principles and practices. With over 30 years of experience and a strong foundation in grassroots activism, ENIL continues to be a leading voice in the disability rights movement in Europe
