ENTREtantoTEATRO

ENTREtanto TEATRO is a Portuguese cultural association dedicated to producing, developing and sharing theatre. Active for 27 years, including 25 years in the Valongo municipality, the company works with local communities while also presenting Portuguese theatre nationally and internationally. Its programme includes original productions, theatre training and the ENTREtanto MIT Valongo International Theatre Showcase, co-organised with Valongo Municipal Council since 1998. The showcase brings performances from Portugal and other countries to local stages and has also honoured influential figures in Portuguese theatre through documentary and photographic projects.

The association offers adult theatre training, organised with the municipality since 1997, and programmes for children and young people aged 6 to 17, launched in 2015. Training explores body, voice and interpretation through practical dramatic exercises. ENTREtanto TEATRO also collaborates with amateur theatre groups, cultural associations and companies in Portugal and abroad, and has toured in several countries. Its repertoire includes works such as A Estrada, As Pedras and O Rei, o Bobo e o Feiticeiro.
