Envicentrum

Envicentrum PROUD is an environmental education centre in southwest Bohemia and a contributory organisation of the Plzeň Region. Its mission is to deliver environmental education, learning and public awareness activities for schools, teachers, young people and the wider community. The centre operates from two specialised sites. The residential centre at Podbranský Mill focuses on multi-day educational programmes for school groups and teachers, while the Natural Science Station offers day programmes, field trips to nearby places of natural interest, and nature-focused clubs.

PROUD’s programme includes themed residential courses, school learning sessions, full-day excursions along the Otava region, teacher training courses and seminars, extracurricular clubs, residential and day camps, and competitions and projects for schools. It also organises cultural, educational and community events for the public. Visitors can explore the historic Podbranský Mill, attend guided tours and take part in activities connected with the centre’s animal facilities. Envicentrum PROUD provides practical opportunities to learn about nature and environmental issues through education, outdoor experiences and community participation.
