The Environmental Education Collaborative is a grassroots alliance working to make environmental education more important, accessible, and effective across Riverside and San Bernardino counties. Its mission is to help create a sustainable and just future through environmental learning experiences for all. The Collaborative brings together teachers, school districts, education providers, nonprofits, businesses, government agencies, and funders to expand opportunities for students and communities to learn about nature and care for natural resources.
Its central resource is a free Environmental Learning Resources Guide, designed to help educators locate local programs and sites focused on natural resources, agriculture, and environmental topics. The guide includes organizations offering education services, field trip opportunities, museums, camps, nature and interpretive centers, and links to online materials. The organization also shares agricultural and professional education resources, hosts an annual Environmental Education Symposium and monthly meetings, and offers community engagement through events such as art and writing contests.
People can support its work by donating, volunteering, or sharing environmental events. The Community Foundation serves as its fiscal sponsor
