Welcome to Fundația EOS România | Educating for an Open Society, a private non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the digital divide in Romania. Our main objective is to empower individuals and communities by providing access to technology and helping them realize their full potential.

At Fundația EOS, we operate projects in two key areas: the pre-university education system and the wider community. In the education system, we train teachers in the use of ICT and work with disadvantaged youth. In the wider community, we collaborate with IT and knowledge-disadvantaged communities to bring them into the information society.

Since our establishment in 1999, we have implemented numerous IT-related projects and have become a founding member of the European digital inclusion network ALL DIGITAL. We have also played a crucial role in setting up the National Coalition for Digital Skills and Jobs, as well as the Digital Agenda for Romania.

Our expertise extends to the education sector, where we have contributed to the development of the first-ever optional information technology curriculum for primary, secondary, and high schools. We have also been involved in the creation of resources and technology assets for schools under European Social Fund programs.

In recent years, we have focused on projects such as 21st-century learning design tools and teaching with Cloud technology. Additionally, as the Romanian coordinator of All Digital Week, we have helped over 70,000 digitally excluded individuals by providing them with internet access and digital devices.

We work closely with the Romanian Ministry of Education to bring ICT closer to students and enhance their learning potential. With our Informatica365 program, we have developed a highly successful teacher training program for Computer Science Teachers, aligning with the compulsory introduction of Informatics and IT subjects in gymnasium schools.

Our digital inclusion programs are supported by technology companies like Microsoft, Autodesk, Adobe, and Certiport, who share our mission to support individuals in their digital journey.

Fundatia EOS is a member of the Partnership Brokers Association and specializes in helping public sector, private sector, and NGO organizations build sustainable partnerships, particularly in the field of inclusive digital education.
