The EOSC Association is at the forefront of developing the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), a groundbreaking initiative that aims to create a 'Web of FAIR Data and Services’ for science in Europe. By providing a multi-disciplinary environment, EOSC enables researchers to publish, discover, and re-use data, tools, and services, empowering them to enhance their work. EOSC integrates existing infrastructure and services supported by the European Commission, Member States, and research communities, creating a federated 'system of systems' that aggregates content and enables seamless integration of services.

With an emphasis on trust and public interest, EOSC ensures well-defined conditions for both service providers and users. Researchers can expect improved access through seamless authentication, access to FAIR and open data, diverse service offerings for storage, analysis, and more, as well as training and support to maximize the use of EOSC. Recognized as the pilot action to deepen the new European Research Area (ERA), EOSC is a key component of the European strategy for data.

The implementation of EOSC is a long-term process, with strategic research and innovation agendas playing a pivotal role. The EOSC Partnership, backed by significant European funding, promotes a shared vision and collaborative approach across European, national, and institutional levels to develop a European Research Data Commons that enhances the findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability of data. Through the Tripartite Collaboration between the European Commission, the EOSC Association, and Member States, EOSC governs the revolutionizing of science by advancing digital knowledge discovery, fostering interdisciplinary research, and revolutionizing the way research is conducted both in Europe and globally
